Without the rain, there would never be rainbows!

April is just around the corner and we have been talking about all of the changes that are about to happen in this new season. Although these past few weeks haven't necessarily felt like Spring weather, we know what to expect in the coming weeks. We had a discussion around new beginnings and what changes take place. We worked on a cute little art piece of a baby chick hatching, to represent the beginning of a new life. Here is some of the wonderful work we have been doing:

Ms. Buckworth also taught the students how to draw beautiful flowers, using pastels. She hung them outside of our classroom and it looks like a colourful garden in the hallway :)
We played this ice cream scoop game, where the scoops of ice cream which had a letter on it, had to be matched to the word and then said out loud:
Our sight word match game had a similar concept, only it got the children moving around to try to find others who had letters to make the word at the top of their card. They loved it and wanted to play a second time after introducing it!
We love our reading area!!

This week is a short week, as Friday we have no school because it is Good Friday.

Tomorrow is our assembly and Fancy Shmancy Day!!

Have a wonderful week :o)
