There is something extremely magical about watching a new life begin

We have been so mesmerized by the hatching of our eggs this week! It has truly been an amazing experience to get to witness them hatch in the incubator and then watch them as they help others out by pecking on the outside of the shell. We even got to hold them gently in our hands, which was an  incredible experience.
To see the look and reaction on the kids faces was priceless.
Here are some of the pictures we captured:
These two made a sign for the chicks home, calling it 'Chicky Land'
Once they hatched, we transferred them into their new home that we had set up for them and watched them at the carpet. Mrs. Ansari and I came around and showed everyone up close what they looked like.
 They were so excited!!
These were the first three to hatch:
We passed them around slowly, and carefully to students who wanted to hold them:
Every morning, the children would check on them as soon as they got in, eager to see them:
Here is a video of them in the incubator:

This was one of the eggs that we saved to look at:
 Some more cracks!
 The boys watching very closely:

Mrs. Shulman came to visit our chicks too!
We had many visitors, including some of the other classes in our school:

We had a special little snack on Monday called 'worms in dirt' and the kids really enjoyed it:

Mother's Day is coming up and Mrs. Ansari had a great idea for it!
We have a special surprise we are currently making!
We are doing something different this time and getting our hands and feet dirty to do it ;)
Rolling up our pants!
